In September 2007, on the property of BRAHA Bioenergy Co, the first large scale MT-Energie biogas purification plant was started up.  Originally it was planned to use this plant to demonstrate to customers different operating conditions and stages.

The German Gas Grid Connection Law was changed just recently, allowing for easier access to the natural gas grid. MT-Energie filed an application to inject around 88 million ft³ of Bio-methane into the local gas pipeline.
